Coastal Inspired Interior Design Mood Boards ft. the City to Cottage Navy Stripe Collection

Is there a more coastal colour combination than navy and white? We’re pretty sure there isn’t.

While dark grey gives drama to a coastal breakfast nook, a lighter warm grey makes for a soothing and sophisticated colour palette. Driftwood may be one of the first things that comes to mind when you imagine a coastal space, but really any natural wood will be just beach-y. The wood of the cabinetry and the material of the stools give a rustic feel in this spacious kitchen. The open shelves give the impression of a bigger space, and the steel stools are definitely telling you to invite some friends over for a great time!

Linen, Wood, Seagrass and Plants

Seagrass is a must–have for any coastal space, and it’s a great way to add a nice, neutral texture to any room. Woven seagrass can add a natural focal point in your room, while distressed floors provide a subtle, supportive backdrop. Top your counters with slices of stained wood for a pared down, simple coastal cottage style.

Island greens like monstera leaves or banana leaf palms are an unexpected fresh accent, as well as fiddle leaf fig trees.
